Jezabel: "I was born in the middle of a deep drought, at Jimboomba, in Queensland, Australia. I had never seen green grass, only dry leaves and my concrete run.

My mummy loved me at first sight - even though I was a little skinny and dusty. She took me to a house at Arundel on the Gold Coast where there was this big blue thing in the backyard. I tried walking on it as soon as I got there, but I started sinking. My mum said that was my first swimming lesson. My pop was really scared for a second, because it was winter, and he didn't want to get his big body wet rescuing me. I got pretty scared actually, and when I go swimming now, I don't like it where my paws come off the bottom - I do however love to run in water, and I love getting my belly wet. I LOVE the dam!! When I drink from my water bowl, I love to blow bubbles. My mum said she hates how I dribble water everywhere after drinking though ... whatever!

4 month cutie pie! 4 months old on the Gold Coast Gold Coast on our 600²m block

My mum took me to work with her at first, and that's where I met Taurus the liver Doberman next door. He was really cute. I don't like playing with other German Shepherds though, but I do like short-haired dogs and little fluffy white dogs. When I was about 5 months old, my mum bought me a playmate and we called him Slick. He's a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and he sort of looks like Taurus (floppy ears and dopey looking)! Slick is a big boy now, but I still think of him as my son (even though I am really only 3 months older than him).

Here are some photos of me: The first one is of me wearing my cousin Nathan's cap and I am sitting on the lounge. The second one is of me outside on a very frosty Winter morning; The last one of me is my favourite, and it is of me playing in the dam. I love to chase floating sticks when mum throws them in.

I'm too cute frosty dam antics
