| We adopted Sasha
from the Hobart Dog's home late January 2005. She was already spayed,
microchipped, and had very basic training - she walked great on a lead,
and sat for food, and was just darn sweet.
Sasha's short life (due to a urinary deformity) impacted on our entire family. She came into our lives like a tornado. She had all the personality quirks (nipping at faces) that put her in the home, but she was not savage. She was just a sheep dog. She was adorable, and lively, and moody. She used to steal all the meat from Slick and Jezabel and then bury it for later (clearly she was once a hungry puppy). I'd say she was cross cattle dog (plainer profile and thick waist). Slick tried to pull her into line, but she was feisty enough to think she could still beat him up (probably because he let her get away with things at times). I was so upset when the vet diagnosed her, and I still think that the Hobart dog's home had no business letting us adopt an incurable puppy. I miss Sasha dearly! Related Links »
